About Us

How we started out

Since July 9th, 1982 our two car garage that was eventually transformed with a few additions to be the new local general store of Greenland NH.  Of Course we've always sold convenience store items, along with all of the deli items, sandwiches, soda, and the coldest beer in the seacoast.

However, a General Store isn't a General Store without some Hunting & Fishing and other outdoor sporting good items.  We sold quite a few fishing setups back then, enough to prompt Jim MacKenzie into adding on again and creating a whole new 2nd floor devoted to his love of fishing and hunting.  It worked.... and it worked well.

With his vast knowledge of outdoor sports, combined with his knowledge of everything the area had to offer, he was the go to guy for all of your hunting & fishing needs in and around the Portsmouth NH seacoast area.

Jason MacKenzie

Jason grew up at Suds N' Soda and has always considered the shop his first home. He has “worked” at Suds since the age of 12 with his father Jim MacKenzie, so he knows all of the ins and outs of the business. When his father was converting his two car garage into a grocery and sporting goods store, Jason couldn't get off the school bus fast enough to come home and help out his dad with building the new store.

Jason was raised in a large hunting and fishing family on the New Hampshire Seacoast, so all outdoor fields were covered in the family: retail sports, fishermen, hunters, lobstermen, outdoor columnists, fishing guides, and NH Fish & Game wardens. His lifetime of expertise means he can help you find anything you’re looking for to improve your game.

“Although I feel as if I know the NH Seacoast like the back of my hand, I am still always learning something new to share every day at Suds N' Soda.”

Rick Como

Rick has been with Suds N Soda Sports since April of 2014.  An avid fisherman, he was born and raised in the NY, NJ suburbs and cut his teeth fishing for Stripers on the rock pile's and jetty's of the Mid Coast and Montauk.

His passion has taken him from Costa Rica to Alaska fishing for Sailfish and Roosterfish to King Salmon and monster Rainbow's.  He brings that passion to the NH Seacoast and Suds, where he's adapted the skills he's learned to fishing the Piscataqua and the waters from Cape Ann to Southern Maine for Stripers, Black Sea Bass and Flounder.

Rick is a member of the New Hampshire chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association and the Plum Island Surfcasters.

As a father of two grown boys it makes it easy for him to relate to and share his knowledge with youngsters new to fishing and he has quickly become an asset to the team at Suds.

Tim Moore

Tim came to Suds N' Soda Sports in May of 2012. He was born and raised on the seacoast and has been a licensed NH guide since 2005. He also owns and operates Tim Moore Outdoors, LLC offering: kayak fishing for striped bass, flounder, and panfish; ice fishing trips; and turkey hunts. His knowledge of the local game and geography has helped countless customers in their pursuits of fish and game.

Tim has been featured on NH’s Wildside TV and WMUR’s NH Chronicle. He also writes outdoor articles for several state, regional, and national publications. He is currently an Ice Team Pro as well as a Pro Staff member for Clam Outdoors, Vexilar, Maki Plastic, Oozzie Jig, Jase Custom Fishing Rods, and Release Reels. He has a strong working relationship with the New Hampshire Fish & Game Department, which adds to his value on the Suds team.
